Description
The Chemistry Program of the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Instructor (Open Rank) starting during the academic year 2022-2023. Applicants interested in teaching at the undergraduate level in general chemistry or biochemistry are encouraged to apply. Prior teaching, especially at the undergraduate level, and research experience is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential.
The instructor will support NYUAD’s educational mission by instructing in the lecture and laboratory courses that are part of the chemistry major and the integrated science curriculum for all science majors at the University. Instructors provide assistance with the preparation, development, instruction, and assessment in chemistry courses by teaching laboratory and recitation sections, running review sessions, and taking part in chemistry program activities, among other duties. During January and Summer Terms, instructors support teaching and research through a variety of activities that may include research with a faculty member or conducting instructional enhancement projects, or both. Instructors undergo training prior to the start of each academic year.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in chemistry is required but a master’s degree is preferred.
